Dr David PB Watson graduated from Aberdeen University in 1984 and served as a GP Partner at Hamilton Medical Group for 35 years, retiring in March 2025. He has over 20 years’ experience as a GP with an extended role in headache at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Dr David Watson chaired the SIGN 107 guideline on headache (2008) and made significant contributions to SIGN 155 “Pharmacological management of Migraine (2018). He has led and advised on several national projects, including a pharmacist education initiative with The Migraine Trust and NHS Grampian. Passionate about medical education, he is an Honorary Advisor to the British Association for the Study of Headache.
Dr David Watson is the current Vice Chair of the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH).
