Dr Stone is the lead for clinical and laboratory mycology at University College London Hospitals.

Dr Stone completed his PhD in antifungal drug resistance and has a special interest in fungal infections in the immunocompromised.

Sarah KhorshidPrincipal Pharmacist – Critical Care and Cardiovascular, St George’s University Hospital

Currently the Principal Pharmacist for critical care and cardiovascular services at St George’s Hospital managing a team of 17 pharmacists to strategically develop and deliver specialist clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation ensuring patient safety is always upheld.

6 years’ + experience as a critical care pharmacist working in large tertiary hospitals within London, with specialist knowledge of trauma, cardiac, neuro, ECMO and ARDS.

A keen research interest in antifungal therapy in critical care looking at antifungal stewardship in relation to fungal biomarkers.

Healthcare research skills and method certificate (PGCert) - St George’s, University of London (2023). 

Independent prescriber course (PIP PGCert) – King’s College London (2018)

Post graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy practice (PGDip) – University College London (2016)
