William Moody, DrConsultant Cardiologist - Imaging and Heart Muscle Disease, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham - University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust

Dr William Moody is trained and accredited in multi-modality imaging (TOE, CMR, nuclear) working within the Inherited Cardiac Conditions Unit and is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer within the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences.  His research parallels closely with his clinical interests; he is working on using novel imaging techniques to better inform the management of patients with inherited cardiomyopathies, cardiac amyloidosis and sarcoidosis. He is also examining the role of non-invasive imaging to stratify risk among patients with end stage liver and end stage renal disease. He plays an integral role in the structural interventional mitral and tricuspid program at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Dr Moody was enrolled on the inaugural British Cardiac Society Early Leaders Program (2019-20) after which he began focusing efforts on developing a UK amyloidosis network in conjunction with the National Amyloidosis Centre. He is also an elected member of the British Cardiac Society Guidelines and Practice Committee.

David Wilson, DrConsultant Cardiologist, Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust

Dr David Wilson is a Consultant Cardiologist based in Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. He did his undergraduate training in Manchester and Lausanne Switzerland. His specialist cardiology training was based in Bristol, with a Fellowship in Cardiac Rhythm Management in Wellington, New Zealand and a Research Fellowship in Southampton. He has sub-specialist interests in cardiac pacing (pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices) and heart failure. 

Dr Wilson is actively involved in clinical research. He was Associate Medical Director for Research and Development at Worcestershire for 4 years and was awarded a clinical trial Scholarship at the Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit.
