Eliquis (apixaban)

Eliquis (apixaban) is an oral, direct factor Xa inhibitor indicated for:

  • prevention of stroke / systemic embolism in adult patients with NVAF, with one or more risk factors (such as prior stroke or transient ischaemic attack, age ≥ 75 years, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, symptomatic heart failure [NYHA Class ≥ II])
  • treatment of DVT and PE, and prevention of recurrent DVT and PE in adults.1

Eliquis is co-promoted with Bristol Myers-Squibb.
