50-80% of HAP/VAP infections are caused by MDR Gram-negative bacteria

of HAP/VAP infections are caused by MDR Gram-negative bacteria. The most common of these pathogens are P. aeruginosa, ESBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae, and Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE)3,6
