Dosing

Use of Fragmin® in patients with unstable angina and non-ST-elevation MI

Indication:

Unstable angina and NSTEMI administered concurrently with aspirin1

Acute stage1

Dosage:

•Recommended dose: 120 IU/kg body weight s.c. 12 hourly for up to 8 days

•Max dose: 10,000 IU/12 hours

Extended use:

•Fragmin® may be used beyond 8 days (i.e. for those awaiting angiography/revascularisation procedures). To be given until the day of revascularisation procedure, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty [PTCA] or coronary artery bypass graft [CABG]) but not for >45 days
